Holy Spirit prayer is such a blessing to my heart. There is nothing like it to humble yourself before a thrice holy God that overwhelms you with His presence. The following, I wrote as I was preparing to pray for dearly loved friends of mine.
I would dare to say, these words came out in the very holy presence of God. I thought in my heart they are certainly not for writing. As I sung them before my Lord and as I bowed before His presence to petition for my dear friends my Lord said, “Write.”
What an awesome privilege. I could have kept that moment to myself but that is not how God works. When our Lord pours himself in us it is so that our lives overflow in the lives of others. I pray the following touch your heart as your eyes of faith picture the majesty of our LORD.
Holy Spirit Prayer
Take off thy shoes,
From off they feet,
For the place wherein thou standeth
Is holy ground,
Bow the knee,
Before a thrice
Holy God.
Before a thrice
Holy God.
Open thine heart,
He will enlarge it,
That you may run
The way of His commandments.
There are times,
His presence is great
Holiness is all around you.
It is like
No other place
You’ve ever been before.
Nothing can compare,
To holy prayer,
In His presence divine.
