It is neat to go back into the archives of my files and find meditations of years gone by that still are a flame in my heart’s desire…
Passion Flame
I remember the stories of old
Men and women, boys and girls
Who would hazard their lives
Just so I could have
One page of God’s word.
What a sacrifice!
So hard for me to understand.
Then I remember Calvary
And all Jesus Christ
Has done for me.
His passion as a fire,
Burns within me to declare:
I may not die
A martys death
But by the Grace of God
I’ll live a martys life.
Daily dying to self
My light to shine,
That one soul may know,
And have eternal life.
Day by day,
He breaks me
To see his Love for souls
To show his Mercy
More and more
He makes me
Into the image of his Son,
Just willing to sacrifice
If it were even my own life
For my Lord Jesus Christ
His passion as a fire,
Burns within me to declare:
I may not die
A martys death
But by the Grace of God
I’ll live a martys life.
Daily dying to self
My light to shine,
That one, Lord one, soul may know,
And have eternal life.

Sacrifice
Now that is a word most of us would rather avoid, sacrifice. But I cannot help but ponder what compelled them to be so passionate for Jesus Christ, even when it would cost them their very life.
When you desire to serve your Lord and you get to know him more, you will find that sacrifice is not much of a sacrifice afterall. There is so much many blessing that the Lord has for you than you can ever keep up with.
The word sacrifice may have you pondering but when you take those steps, one-at-a-time, you will wonder why you did not venture on this passion journey sooner.
Are You Ready
Are you ready to take the steps into a sacrificial but yet most fulfilling life. Why or why not? Explain in the comments below.
