This Thanksgiving has been very rewarding to me as I spent thinking of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. There is so much I am learning. Our sweet fellowship together makes me desire Him the more.
The Will of God
Sometimes you may wonder what the will of God is for your life. You go back and forth on your decision trying to make sure, praying, asking God if your decision is in fact His will.
I have learned that the best place to start when it comes to God’s will is to base my faith on known facts. The fact is God has already been very clear what His will is concerning you and it is found in the following verse.
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. ” 1 Thessalonians 5:19
Regardless of your circumstances or decisions can you give thanks to God?
Thanksgiving Rejoices the Heart
Whenever you give thanks, even when facing challenges and especially as you focus on your Lord’s tremendous goodness in your life you cannot help but begin to rejoice.
Truly, there is so much you to be thankful for. Like the song that reminds you to “Count Your Blessings.” Our God always does things exceedingly above all that we ask or think. But in order for you to appreciate your Lord’s blessings do God’s will. Give thanks.
Blessings Flow with Thanks
Thanksgiving is a very special time of the year in our family. It is our most favorite of Holidays. We make plans weeks in advance. We look forward to the times we will spend as a family and there are times we spend it with treasured friends.
This year we spent it home with our children with the exception of our two oldest who spent Thanksgiving with treasured friends back in the states as they are attending Bible College.
My children enjoy that I tell them stories especially the ones I have been working on.
For several months, God has blessed me with fictional story ideas for a series that I have been praying about and working on. I have been blessed with a wonderful dear and precious friend who has encouraged me so much with her contribution in the development of a key character. I really do not know how I could have developed some of the following series had it not been for her willingness to open her heart to create the character of Elise.
I am not quite ready to share the stories but I am so thankful for our Lord’s provision and wisdom. Two stories from the series were born this week and one was on Thanksgiving Day! Which I have yet to tell my dear friend about. Yes, “…of making many books there is no end…”

What are you thankful for?
Giving thanks is not just a one year occasion but everyday and every moment of the day.
I appreciate my husband’s prayer, “Lord help us to make Thanksgiving and attitude of thanksLIVING.”
Let this season of thanks be a season you will treasure for years to come as you thank the Lord.
