Thoughts on the resurrection in this post were inspired by a question Evangelist Paul Miller posted on his Facebook timeline.

The Death

Christ death is essential and unique for it is a death that you will never have to taste.

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.” Hebrews 2:9

Unfortunately our salvation message stops at the death, even though we say we believe in the death, burial and resurrection. But why do we believe in that, for ticket to heaven?

How far we are from understanding, the Gospel, His eternal glory of His will being done on earth AS IT IS heaven. What’s in heaven? Our glorious God!

If we stop at the death of Jesus, payment is made, we need not taste the death He tasted.

Burial

If we stop at the burial we can hope that we will pleasantly part this world in peace and no longer exist.

When you have a scripture look at what the bible says about the burial, it never stops at the burial but goes on to the resurrection.

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” Romans 6:4

“Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.” Colossians 2:12resurrection is Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven

The Resurrection

But the resurrection, what does the resurrection mean?

It is no ordinary life but, it is God’s life.

Without the resurrection there is NO faith. The resurrection is extremely important.

“But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.” 1 Cor 14:13-14

“And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” 1 Cor 15:17

No resurrection, NO redemption

Christ would have died in vain.

Christ, death burial and resurrection is not about a ticket to heaven (only man’s redemption – that is part of it). It is also to allow you the privilege to receive the divine life, God in you. To be made vessels whereby God can be born again in you. Our Lord is the new creature, to exercise His will in and through us, who have received Christ Jesus, Emmanuel, for His glory.

On Earth as It is in Heaven

I am not waiting to get to heaven, the good news (the Gospel) is heaven’s come down to me through Christ Jesus. My Lord and I now journey together toward the celestial city (heaven) for His glory :) the glorious wedding of our King to live in an everlasting marriage with him.

Will you join me through the precious blood of Christ, and receive HIS LIFE in you?

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40

To GOD be ALL the GLORY
